YOG20 is a collection of music by artists from the East Midlands and beyond, curated by Year Of Glad in an effort to raise funds for homelessness and food bank charities in the city of Derby.

It's been a tough old year! But we've been blessed with loads of wonderful new music, and the Year Of Glad family thought that might give us a good opportunity to help out over the cold winter months and release our YOG20 charity compilation alongisde a raffle and art stall on yearofglad.xyz .

Like many cities in the region, Derby has been hit hard by the challenges of COVID 19, and while the first lockdown came with a life saving Everyone In scheme in partnership with hotels, the same is notably missing from measures as restrictions continue into the new year. The Padley Group have been working to support the homeless in Derby for 40 years, and their work is more vital than ever, so we've decided to donate all proceeds from our YOG20 event to this charity alongisde another, Doorways Derby, who provide a much needed food bank and street kitchen for those suffering with food shortages in the city.

We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of the artists you see on this tracklist, who have provided us with an amazing set of songs, much of it totally new material, in support of the cause. Please give whatever you can, if you can, and enjoy all the wonderful work these musicians have put forward!
